Storage Tips

  • We highly recommend the use of the round/disc locks.

  • Rent the smallest amount of space you will need, and pack the unit full.

  • Make up an inventory list of your items and keep it in a safe place (at home or in a safe deposit box) away from the unit.

  • Prepare your space by placing a protective cover on the floor under your goods.

  • Place your storage items on 2x4 boards or on pallets to guard against dampness. Any concrete floor may become cold and damp.

  • Ensure that refrigerators, freezers, and other appliances are dry and stored in an upright position.

  • Do not store food in your unit, as that will attract unwanted pests.

  • If possible, avoid storing important documents, valuable jewelry, and firearms.

  • Avoid storing items in plastic bags, as they can trap moisture and damage your goods.

  • When storing furniture, cover with tarps or sheets to prevent excessive dust accumulation.

  • Contact your insurance company to see if your homeowners or rental insurance covers your property in a storage unit as we do not provide any type of insurance.

We prohibit the storage of flammable, combustible or hazardous chemicals such as weed killers, gasoline, propane, car batteries, paint, paint thinners and solvents.
